NIKON RELEASES FIRMWARE VERSION 1.10 FOR NIKON Z 7II AND Z 6II

Transform the way you tell your stories with improved support for more flexible shooting experience

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA – Nikon Middle East FZE. is pleased to announce that Firmware Ver. 1.10 for the Z 7II and Z 6II full-frame mirrorless cameras, will be released on 25th February 2021.

With the new firmware update, enjoy the increased performance of Eye-Detection autofocus (AF) that allows smoother and more flexible shooting on both the Z 7II and Z 6II, where the detection of eyes of human subjects are detected even when the face of the subject is smaller in the frame.

Be in complete control of the colours, look and feel of your cinematic masterpiece and experience creative flexibility like never before when you shoot in RAW video output. Further support of RAW video output[1,2] to Blackmagic Design external recorders[3,4] is featured with the update, enabling recording[5] in Blackmagic RAW format and ProRes RAW format. For ProRes RAW video output recorded with the Atomos Ninja V, enjoy an expansion of options when it comes to video editing as this update supports the ISO settings and colour temperature control when using Apple’s Final Cut Pro Version 10.4.9 (and later).

In addition, the update provides support for 4K UHD/60p[6] for the Z 6II video recording options.

Compatible with additional recording formats and supporting a variety of video-recording workflows to respond to the advanced video production needs of professionals, Firmware Ver. 1.10 transforms the way you tell your stories through video with the Z 7II/ Z 6II.

If you have already enabled the RAW video output upgrade for your camera, updating to Firmware Version 1.10 will add support for Blackmagic Design external video recorders automatically[4].
